Delete Your CORIA Account

We respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your CORIA account and all associated data.

How to Delete Your Account

Option A: Delete from the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the CORIA app
  2. Go to Profile → Settings
  3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm your decision
  5. Your account will be scheduled for deletion

Option B: Request via Email

Send an email to privacy@coria.app:

  • Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
  • The email address associated with your CORIA account
  • Your username (if known)

We will process your request within 30 days as required by GDPR and KVKK.

Data That Will Be Deleted

The following data will be permanently deleted:

  • Your account profile (email, username, profile photo)
  • Product scanning history
  • Favorite products list
  • Pantry items
  • Shopping lists
  • AI chat history
  • Allergen and dietary preferences
  • App settings and preferences

Data That May Be Retained

Some data may be retained for legal or operational reasons:

  • Payment Records: Transaction history is retained for 10 years for tax and legal compliance (via RevenueCat/App Stores)
  • Anonymous Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained
  • Legal Holds: Data may be retained if required by law enforcement or legal proceedings

Deletion Timeline

  • Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you can no longer sign in
  • Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted from our systems
  • Recovery period: During the first 30 days, you may contact us to cancel the deletion request
  • After 30 days: Data cannot be recovered

Important Notes

Premium Subscriptions: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. Please cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account to avoid future charges.

Third-Party Services: Data shared with third-party services (RevenueCat, Firebase) will be deleted according to their respective data retention policies.

Re-registration: After deletion, you may create a new account with the same email address, but your previous data cannot be restored.
